Veteran IME Referrals for Legal Practitioners

Occupational Medicine Specialists IMEs for Veterans

Our Occupational Medicine Specialists are available to conduct Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) specifically for matters relating to Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) claims and military service-related conditions.

We work with legal practitioners representing veterans, insurers, and government agencies, providing clear, independent medico-legal opinions to support statutory claims, liability assessments, and dispute resolution within the veteran compensation framework.

Our specialists have deep experience in military occupational exposures, service-related injuries, and complex multi-system conditions. Please note that our services are focused exclusively on service-related assessments; we do not provide reports for non-service matters such as motor vehicle accidents or general civil litigation.

Assessments can address:

  • Causation and relationship to military service
  • Fitness for service or work capacity
  • Whole person impairment and permanent impairment
  • Review of treatment and rehabilitation needs
  • Independent clinical opinions for complex matters

Reports are comprehensive, defensible, and written with medico-legal clarity.

Referrals are welcomed from legal practitioners where the individual being assessed has served in the Australian Defence Force.

To make a referral or discuss an assessment, please contact our team. Our team can assist with referral requirements, documentation, and specialist availability.
